Garden of Witches Armory Planner

Four ready-to-queue 1.0 loadouts. Change one row, not the whole sentence.

Armory Planner

The Armory is 1.0’s best quality-of-life feature. You no longer spend the first two rooms rerolling spells with Dice just to play the kit you already wanted. You pick it at the bench in Sil’s house. This planner is that bench on a wiki page.

Rules: one identity per run. If a row says Giant, do not pocket a Magic Scissors relic “for later.” Longer explanations live on best builds. This page is the cheat sheet you can keep on a phone.

Kit A — Story carry (Fireball house)

SlotPick
ScissorsDefault or Magic
Spell 1Fireball (brick or pellet imprint — pick one)
Spell 2Counter
RelicsArcane Parasite, cooldown, on-cast
PlaystyleSpell is the weapon. Dash the slam. Counter the named witch.
Best forChapters 1–5, first Nahatra scout
Avoid ifYou insist on never using a 17-second button

Kit B — Melee burst (Giant + Ambush)

SlotPick
ScissorsGiant
Spell 1Ambush
Spell 2Fireball brick or another dump imprint
RelicsCat’s Eye Ring, weapon damage, cooldown
PlaystyleAmbush for Sharpness, Giant finisher crit, dump when fat
Best forPlayers who cleared Fiena, Challenge Mode
Avoid ifYou cancel strings into floor fire

This is the 1.0 translation of the old Giant / Slash / Ambush Challenge clip. Tags are gone; the Sharpness-then-dump sentence remains. See Challenge Mode.

Kit C — Mouse poke (Magic Scissors)

SlotPick
ScissorsMagic
Spell 1Shadow Surge or Fireball pellets
Spell 2Counter
RelicsBlue Chakram, Arcane Parasite
ImprintsDownpour if you hold Charge; Threading for waves
PlaystyleHold, pierce, crit past gauge one
Best forKeyboard and mouse, Rims & Berry, hallway rooms
Avoid ifYou tap Charge or you are on keyboard-only facing

Bind this after you have read controls. Magic Scissors without mouse is a worse version of Kit A.

Kit D — Clock / swamp AoE

SlotPick
ScissorsGiant, or Singing after Maydel
Spell 1Blood Marble
Spell 2Shadow Surge or Fireball pellets
RelicsCrawling Collector, AoE percents
PlaystyleFields kill, you dash, the timer likes you
Best forEpilogue 1, any Challenge floor with a clock
Avoid ifYou only enjoy single-target Charge sniping

How to use the planner mid-save

  1. If you have not beaten chapter one, take Kit A.
  2. If Giant already feels good, take Kit B and stop shopping.
  3. If you bought 1.0 for mouse aiming, take Kit C.
  4. If Maydel’s clock is mocking you, take Kit D.
  5. After a death, change one row. Changing scissors and both spells is how you learn nothing. The getting started page is mean about this on purpose.

Unlock notes

You do not own every row on a fresh file. Default scissors and a small spell list are the house kit. Giant, Magic, Broken, and Singing arrive as you clear chapters and Maydel. If a row names a weapon you have not seen in the Armory, you are not locked out of the game — you are locked out of that row. Play Kit A until the bench grows. The scissors tier list tracks when identities come online.

Broken Scissors + Hunger is an optional fifth row for people who like a two-second Sharpness contract. It is omitted from the tables because it bricks more first-time late bosses than it saves. When you want it, the contract is on imprints.

What this planner will not do

  • Simulate DPS
  • Rank a relic that is not in the live pool
  • Restore synergy tags
  • Play the dash for you

If a Steam hotfix retunes Fireball’s cooldown, believe the Book, then come back. The sentences stay. The numbers move. For PC specs while you queue, use system requirements. For the witches these kits are aimed at, use the boss guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Garden of Witches 1.0.

What should I pick in the Garden of Witches Armory as a new player?

Kit A: default scissors, Fireball, Counter. Then read getting started.

Can I mix Giant Scissors with Magic Scissors relics?

You can. You should not. One identity per run is the 1.0 rule this planner is built on.

Where is Singing Scissors in the tables?

Kit D, after Maydel. It is not a chapter-one weapon. See the walkthrough.

Is there a tag calculator?

No. Tags are gone. If you need the old idea of a burst dump, use Kit B and Challenge Mode.
