Garden of Witches Rims & Berry

Rims & Berry are the chaos twins of the Garden of Witches coven. They appear as a two-body fight in chapter three, and they are the reason Magic Scissors and piercing tools exist in the tier list. The in-game caption reads “With love, Rims & Berry” — it is not a fan meme, it is written on a note in the game.

Who they are in the coven

Community translations place them as a later addition to the roster, appearing after Abigail’s farm and before the book-and-spider witch in chapter four. They are loud, pink, and apparently write love letters to each other while Sil is trying to drag everyone to a tea party.

The NamuWiki community notes that neither Rims nor Berry has direct combat ability — they summon a huge skull maid construct instead. This is why the fight feels different from Fiena’s mushrooms or Abigail’s sickle: you are fighting their furniture, not them directly.

Their theme song is “Bone & Blood & Flesh” from the official OST, composed by Crimsona (Hoongu Jee). The track is available on the official Garden of Witches OST DLC on Steam.

The fight as a tempo check

Two bodies means two HP bars, two sets of tells, and twice the opportunity for off-screen casts to catch you. If your Spell is locked to “strongest enemy,” the other twin will finish a cast while you are watching the first one die.

How to actually beat them

Bring one of the following:

• Magic Scissors pierce — clip both bodies through the same hallway
• A ground field Spell — Blood Marble or similar that does not care where you aim
• A slash with range — something that covers width, not single-target

If you only have single-target: kill in strict order and never chase the one that vanishes off-screen. Dash through overlapping cones rather than out of the arena.

Counter is useful here if you have learned the 0.4-second block window. Do not hold it for the twins themselves — hold it for the skull maid construct’s heavy slam.

Where they sit in the guest list

• Chapter three, after Abigail’s farm
• Before the book-and-spider witch (Chloe) in chapter four
• After them, Nahatra is the next named fight in the main five-chapter spine

They are not a finale. They are a test of whether your kit can handle two bodies. If you walked into chapter three with a single-target Fireball and no plan for the second HP bar, this is where the game tells you.

Build notes for this fight

The combat guide explains Charge, Combo, and Channeling. The scissors tier list has Magic Scissors at S-tier specifically because fights like this one reward piercing. The spells page has Shadow Surge and Blood Marble as A-tier for two-body scenarios.

Do not bring Singing Scissors to this fight unless you already own them from a previous Epilogue 1 clear. They are Maydel’s gift, not a chapter three unlock.
